This was again a productive day for the László Palik-Gábor Darázsi duo. The previously closed course was shortened due to administrative reasons, so there was „only” a 380 km track to go. The Best driver in Hungary of 2008 finished 21st as best hungarian unit and kept their flashy 16th position overall.

The Palik–Darázsi duo was the best hungarian unit on stage 3. hungarian crosscountry champion driver and copilot got into finish on 19th place after the 551 km long special wich put them into 16th position in overall ranking. No wonder they got out of their Nissan mighty pleased.

The third special stage of Dakar 2009 is done at leats for the Palik–Darázsi duo. According to official website information the hungarian cross-country champions arrived at the Jacobacci finish as best hungarian unit on the 19th place after the 551 km special which means they moved forward to the 16th position overall.

The Palik Racing Team–racetruck also made it to the finish. As best hungarians, the Zoltán Szaller–László Pócsik–Tibor Csitári (MAN) unit finished 15th, which puts them to 17th in overall.

It was a great day for Palik and Darázsi: after dashing through the 237 km special of Day 2 with a smashing speed and no mistakes at all, the duo finished 17th as best hungarians and awaits the next stage from the 20th position overall.

After the Palik–Darázsi duo has arrived to the finish in Puerto Madryn, the truck of Palik Racing Team also got thru the second special of Dakar 2009. The Zoltán Szaller – László Pócsik – Tibor Csitári trio made it on the 20th place which puts them onto 22 in overall.

It was no funhouse driving their Nissan, but the Best driver of Hungary in 2008 László Palik and Gábor Darázsi duo finished at 25 on the first 371 km long special between Buenos Aires and Sta Rosa de la Pampa on the opening day of Dakar 2009. Nevertheless it could have been better for them but the last 40 km was a struggle behind a slower car.

Palik Racing Team got into Dakar- mood on Friday, resting in the gentle argentinean sunshine while checking the first day’s itiniaries. Later all team attended the solemn start ceremony in Buenos Aires.

Palik Racing Team has successfully fulfilled scruteneering procedures of 2009 Dakar. Team members parked their vehicles in the restricted area called Parc Ferme, so it’s all ready for the cross-country through Argentina and Chile to start on Saturday.
