RTL Club

Hungary's market-leading television channel started its activities on 6 October, 1997. RTL Club is one of the most significant participants of Hungary?s television and film-making market. Besides broadcasting the most popular television programmes, our domestic productions give work to more than 100 people. By sponsoring the Hungarian film industry, we provide financial background to dozens of movies. Several charity events, cultural and sports programmes were taken up by our channel in the past few years. RTL Club developed into a kind of ?institution? in Hungary in seven years.

The best films on RTL Club
RTL Club signed exclusive long-term contracts with most of the big American film studios. Thanks to these agreements the channel is going to broadcast the best films of all times, films from Warner Bros, Columbia Pictures, Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox, Lucasfilm. The latest film successes will be continually seen on RTL Club.

Coverage
RTL Club guarantees approximately 94% of coverage, which is roughly the same as with the competitor commercial channel. MTV1's coverage is 99%, and with cable television circa 50% can be reached in our country where 3,6 million households have televisions.

RTL Club is a terrestrial broadcasting channel which can be received in 3,4 million households. The market conditions that evolved in 1999 are practically still valid today. After some initial fluctuations, the share among the 18-49 age-group in the commercially important seasons (September-December, March-June) in prime time periods makes RTL Club the stable leader in the market. While MTV1 has a share of 13%, TV2 has 28%, and RTL Club has an average of 40%. Further researches have shown that the audience usually finds RTL Club the most entertaining, the most youthful and the politically most independent. Blikk

Blikk was founded by Ringier Verlag in 1994 in Hungary. The market of tabloid newspapers is characterized by continuous changes: in the past few years some papers ceased, started again, new investors appeared and disappeared, papers merged.

Today's Blikk is market-leading not only in its own segment but also on the Hungarian daily paper market. The editorial board with its nearly 100 members provides the latest sensational news mostly for countryside people with secondary education.
